Diana majored in English at Harvard University (A.B., 1998) with an emphasis on Creative Writing. She completed a creative thesis of poetry during this time and was published in a variety of literary journals including Poetry East and Poet Lore. She received the Rona Jaffe Creative Writing Prize for poetry.

Diana also completed an M.B.A. at the Haas School of Business, U.C. Berkeley in 2006.
